everything that we want to be, is to be someone we are not.
we just want to slip into another identity and to believe that we are god.
we fear not the unknown but what we may not be altogether whom we try to be.

we lose focus and lost track of time. that endless count to the never land.
we want to stay young forever and just a you and me world where we live and die together.
we age endlessly but only in the mirrors we seek to see.
we are only but those rose petals falling to the ground that stone hard and cold floor.
that harsh wind against our skins, we fear as we might but we laughed as we rose.
we stand tall still in the face of the courageless world.
we want to conquer that land we chose to ignore.
those television ads and media cruelties that raped you and me but still we go on.

we can never really leave this place.
the door is here but we are not. into the mirror we seek a blessed home.
we crave a loneliness yet we run away.
we want but all we have and reject all but none we possess.
for the greater good each to say. for the none we have each to give.

right at the end, we fall again. into that deep dark hole.
